I am the found and creator of two small businesses: Tiger Mountain Farms and Sapone Soap Designs. I have spent 15 years as an environmental scientist and began making handmade soap and candles in 2015 to limit my exposure to harsh toxic chemicals. I started my own business with the principles of protecting health and the environment in mind. That's why I use repurposed bottles, all-natural soy wax and beeswax, eco-friendly wicks, and recycled packaging materials. I repurpose used wine bottles from local events and parties and create natural soy and beeswax candles. The wax I use originates in the USA and allows Tiger Mountain Farms to support US farmers. Each candle is handcrafted and poured in small batches. The process is all done by me and by hand. The rim of these glasses have been carefully smoothed and polished to remove any sharp edges and have a beautiful bevel. My goal in making these beautiful candles is to promote social responsibility and minimize our impact on the environment. All of the candles are carefully crafted with the best fragrances I can find, and then hand-poured in small batches for better quality. In addition:
All of the candles are made with 100% soy or beeswax that contains no paraffin (petroleum), no palm oil, no parabens, phthalates, or any other nasty additives.
I only use cotton wicks containing no lead or zinc or other metal filaments.
Our candles are scented with a blend of essential, botanical oils, and fragrance oils that have been researched and reviewed for toxicity. Scents that are used in our products do not contain chemicals known to be toxic and/or carcinogenic in humans.
