GREGG GOOLSBY
Gregg developed an early love of art through his father who was an artist and taught him to draw and paint as a child. His mom imparted a love of the natural world and beautiful places which inspired an early passion for photography. Taking beautiful photos became a life goal, and a creative outlet during his many years of traveling on business during a demanding corporate career in the automotive industry. Through his photography business (OSP Images, LLC) Gregg and his daughter Meghan, work in partnership to support conservation nonprofits with missions focused on protecting natural world.
Gregg continued to paint intermittently over the years and in 2017 discovered the encaustic medium-the ancient art of painting with bee’s wax. He set out to master this interesting and tactile medium. By combining pigments, pastels, and watercolor along with encaustic medium he creates art inspired by the places he photographs. Gregg lives and creates in both Fall City, WA and Manzanita, OR. He serves on several nonprofit boards in both the arts and conservation space, including NWAA. He is a member of the Mt. Si Artist Guild and displays his work at the Art Gallery of SnoValley. |
