Signed and linen-matted archival print of a Ugandan batik framed in Cherry wood. This image is based on story by Lungala Rubadiri and represents a group of women going to the well to fetch water together. Each lady represents a different family. If each lady walks to and from the well alone, she is forced to think of weight of the water that she carries; and the distance she has to cover in order to feed her family. But when the ladies walk as a group their friendship gives them strength and happiness… and the water is brought home with a cheerful heart. It takes a lot of steps to walk to and from the well; but it takes very few steps to get to know your neighbors. Make friends… it brings joy to the journey of life.
