Lee H. Rentz - RED SUN DESCENDING
As the Earth warms and climate changes, forest fires have been raging across the West. Even in places where I have never known forest fire smoke, far from the fires, it is becoming a frequent summer visitor. In this photograph I was taking pictures in an Amish community; as the sun descended it took on the reddish-orange hue of a smoky sky. The dead tree became a perfect pairing with the smoky sun.
