Distance. The measure between two distances. I designed this piece to emphasize the simplicity of the stretch of distance between two destinations which are within themselves complex. Constructed with galvanized steel wire this sculpture is a triple meaning it has three spheres within each orb. The layers transfer interesting shadows in all levels of light. It will make a striking statement in any decor.
I create my sculptures using a looping technique I learned in a workshop hosted by the Japanese American Museum in Los Angeles during the 2007 show of Ruth Asawa’s work.
