Mid-century modern design inspired the simplicity of this sculpture. I used galvanized steel wire (silver color) and brass (gold color). This piece represents the treasure that dwells deep within and the protective shell that encases it.
I create my sculptures using a looping technique I learned in a workshop hosted by the Japanese American Museum in Los Angeles during the 2007 show of Ruth Asawa’s work.
