A cheeky magpie perches on a pair of saddle shoes, accessorizing perfectly. This is an original acrylic painting on what I like to call reclaimed board: I salvage outmoded sales samples of art prints on wood from the fine art publishing company where I work, and paint on the non-printed sides of said samples, thus saving them from the landfill and making them useful again. A distressed black wooden float frame completes the look.
