Penguin Friends is an image of King Penguins taken at St. Andrews Bay on South Georgia Island. The King Penguin is the second largest penguin species and stands 3 ft tall. St. Andrews Bay contains one of the largest breeding colonies. There were close to 200,000 penguins on the day that I was there. South Georgia Island is where Ernest Shackleton went to get help to rescue his men when the Endurance was crushed in the Antarctic ice.
