I create woven jewelry with a variety of traditional seed bead stitching techniques that are adapted for work with larger beads to create sculptural forms rather than the pixel-driven designs typical of seed bead weaving. Each piece is woven with a needle and sturdy, specialized thread, Czech glass and other materials. My current work focuses on the use of adornment to reinforce one’s sense of self, of being a presence that matters, through color, shape, and movement.
