ANGELA EHRIG - ENGAYLA

Engayla is the German pronunciation of my name Angela. I am German born and came to Seattle in 1990. I design unique women’s clothing from natural fiber fabrics in a limited and one of a kind edition. I also design accessories, jewelry, leather bags & belts. When the material calls for it I apply my own surface designs using silk screens, dyes, stamps, discharge paste and fabric paint. Each piece of adornment is unique. My concern is with the process and my selection follows no preconceived notion and goes from heart to hand, evolving into body ornaments that have art-to-wear qualities. My designs are comfortable, textured, and made for the individual – not the crowd. I hope that you’ll find the perfect design to express yourself and BE YOU.
