Karen’s jewelry is about evolution--- evolution as a woman, as a wife, as a mother, and as an artisan. That evolution has inspired her in many ways. Along with the natural beauty of the areas in which she has lived, from Dallas, TX to Chicago, IL to Philadelphia, PA to Oahu, HI but now she resides in the gorgeous mountains of East TN.
Inspired by nature and the intricacies of the gems themselves, Karen’s work is a blend of natural, precious and semi-precious stones with subtly detailed, rich metals. Karen cuts, sands, shapes, solders, hammers, waxes, and cold forges 14k. gold fill, silver, brass, bronze, copper, and aluminum within her gemstone designs. Karen’s jewelry achieves a union between inspiration and functionality. |
