This year, 2021, was the year Brood X, the Seventeen Year Cicadas, hatched out to plenty of fascination (and some inconvenience) on the east coast. In honor of this marvelous entomological event and because I have family living out there I made Cicadas!

Using my wonderful laser-cutting company again I designed the wings and they cut them out of mylar. They are very close to life-size and have red rhinestone eyes. They make a great gift for those who have lived through this remarkable rebirth, or for those who just enjoy strange creatures!
