Intertwined - Love Always Wins!
While chasing my faithful sidekick chasing a rabbit through dense brush, I happened upon a treasure trove of bamboo. I created this one of a kind piece with two graduated widths of natural and black cane upon hand-dyed navy, dark navy and black reed. The checkerboard and flag motifs are the inspiration for the title of this original with an artificial sinew, hand-sewn rim and bumper guard. The bamboo element is beaded and lashed with round reed to create overlapping hearts while the exterior base is black lacquer. Finished with light shellac. I hope Love will bring you as much joy as it was to create.
