After finding a huge canning pot at a garage sale, I hand-dyed deep shades of navy, dark navy and black to create this original piece with exposed ribs. The flying flag motif and the dipped rim were woven with two graduated widths of cane and the finest round reed on a Birch base. The scalloped floral motif at the edge and the exposed ribs aptly convey the title. FInished with a light shellac.
