A rose quartz heart, surrounded by gentle Bleeding Heart leaves and large soft leaves of Japanese Knotweed. It reminds me how the heart is at the center of things, wrapped in the delicate softness of the lungs, protected by the ribcage, and the strength of the muscles. Our bodies know we are sacred. It’s only our minds that forget. This piece was made as a prayer for breath during the coronavirus pandemic.
