Hand pulled etching of a blue footed booby using sheer blue paper in the chine collé method of using the press to both collage and print on the collage at the same pass through. The image size is 8" x 12" (20 cm x 30 cm) on acid-free BFK Rives cotton rag paper that is 11" x 15" (28 cm x 38 cm). Though I usually choose subjects that live in or around my home base in Seattle, I'm so smitten with the comical dinosaur like boobies that I had to do it, plus they just beg to have their signature technicolor feet treated to the chine collé method, which is a technique I love to do.
