Art is the fulcrum of my life. It gives me purpose, meaning, and joy. I work in oil paint because of its rich color range, textural adeptness, and finished beauty. I like to work outdoors. I also enjoy taking photographs and bringing them into the studio where I can explore their images in paint. Painting moves a photographic subject into a realm humanized by gesture, composition, and interpretation. My intention is to celebrate painting, creativity, nature, and life itself.
