I have always worked ‘from the subject’ and I love Nature. Lately, I have been making photographic studies of subjects and then combining different photos to create a single painting. This allows me to work more specifics into each image than would otherwise be accessible to my eye while I stand still at the easel. From there it is about using paint to develop a full range of color and texture.
